Alexander W. Lewis

Alexander W. Lewis is an award winning Documentary Director/ Director of Photography, Nationally Registered E.M.T based in Portland, Maine. As a director, his most recent short Snowy (Sundance ‘21, Critics’ Choice Nominee DOCNYC Shortlist) was acquired by Time Studios and played at 80 film festivals internationally. As a DP, he has travelled the world for work, shooting for Anthony Bourdain Parts: Unknown, Vice, Netflix, HBO Sports, CNN, Comedy Central, PBS, A&E, Discovery as well as a number of feature documentaries and shorts. He is comfortable and has worked on productions of all sizes, from the run and gun documentaries with small crews, to the 200+ crew Hollywood films.

His introduction to the world of Emergency Medical Response began with an H.E.A.T Course (Hostile Environment Awareness Training), which prepares journalists for working in dangerous and hostile locations. From there, he furthered his training by obtaining his E.M.T License in the States of New York and Maine.

When not traveling, he volunteers here in Maine as an E.M.T for the town of Falmouth, where weekly training sessions keep his knowledge and skills up to date.

He realized he could bring his two passions together, founding Maine Set Medics in 2020.

In addition, Alexander is fluent in Italian and conversant in French and Spanish. F.A.A Part 107 Certified Drone Pilot.

Paul D. Froman

Paul D. Froman is a career firefighter/paramedic ongoing eleven years of service with his local community in Maine. He has over sixteen years of public safety experience ranging from private EMS, hospital-based, and municipal operations. During this time, Paul has served in various roles including official ranked positions such as lieutenant and captain. Currently he is serving as union president for his local. 

Paul is a National Registered Paramedic and Licensed EMS instructor/coordinator with the State of Maine. Paul has been actively teaching in the Fire and EMS communities for nearly 10 years. In 2017, Paul taught the first ESOL EMT course for immigrants with medical backgrounds looking to start over in the medical field here in the United States which was the first of its kind in the country. 

Paul maintains his knowledge of public safety through continued training and higher education. Paul recently completed his Masters in Leadership Studies from the University of Southern Maine where he is a Ph.D. student studying Leadership and Organizational Development.  Additionally, Paul has associate degree's in Fire Science and Paramedicine from Southern Maine Community College.
